Obituary of Lucy Mancuso

Lucy (Shortino) Mancuso, age 79, died Thursday, July 17, 2008 at home in Wayne. Mrs. Mancuso was born December 29, 1928 in Garfield, the daughter of the late Angelo and the late Josephine (Monestero) Shortino. She lived in Wayne and was formerly of Garfield and Passaic. Mrs. Mancuso was a homemaker and a member of the Wayne Golden Age Club. She attended Our Lady of Consolation RC Church and was a member of the Amity Club. She is survived by her daughter: Diane and her husband Tom Birkner, her three sons: Joseph, Michael and his wife Lorraine and Steve and his wife Karen; grandchildren: Michael, Joseph, Steven, Michele, Lauren, Luke and Eric; great-grandchildren: Cassandra, Helena and Kylee and her brother: Gerald Shortino and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Gus and her brother, Joseph Shortino. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2-6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905
