Obituary of Edward Z. Ajamian
Edward Z. Ajamian, 77, of Land O Lakes, FL; Franklin Lakes, NJ; and Oakland, NJ passed away June 9, 2008. Eddie was born in the Bronx, NY.As a boy, his family moved to Lebanon, NJ and then back to the Bronx where he attended Manhattan Aviation Trade School.He enlisted in the United States Air Force and was a pilot and an instrument instructor during the Korean War.After leaving the Air Force, he became a real estate broker and had two offices, one in Bergenfield and one in Oakland, NJ. His passion for life was designing, building, and flying model airplanes.His talent for design and building was unsurpassed and he was featured in several model airplane magazines throughout the world under the name Eddie A. Aircraft. His planes were often featured on the front pages of these magazines. He was a member and past president of The Wayne Modelers and a member of The Goshen Gremlins, both model airplane clubs.He was preceded in death by his parents, Shukry and Nevart Ajamian; two brothers, James and Manuel and one sister, Virginia Parseghian. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elaine (nee Huff) and his children Karen Ajamian of Hillsborough, NJ, Edward R. Ajamian of Atlantic Highlands, NJ; Gary Ajamian and his wife Maria of Land O Lakes, FL, formerly of Wanaque, NJ and Kimberly DiMarco and her husband David of Wesley Chapel, FL. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Jamie, Tyler, Brett, Shane, Christopher, Marissa, and Ryan Ajamian and Joseph, Jacob, Joshua and Jon-Michael DiMarco. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews, particularly Gregory Parseghian, James Parseghian, Lisa Dosch, Donna Maccaro, Rita Witten, and their families.Eddie was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in New Tampa.
Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2-6p.m. at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne. The funeral will be Monday at 10:00 a.m., celebrated by Rev. Richard Hagedorn. Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
