Obituary of Wilbur Harold Porta

Wilbur Harold Porta, age 79, died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock Twsp. Mr. Porta was born August 30, 1928 in Haledon, the son of the late Louis G. and the late Emma A. (Koehler) Porta. He lived in Bloomingdale and was formerly of Haledon. Mr. Porta served in the U.S. Army during Korean War. He was retired from U.S. Post Office, Pompton Plains in 1983. He is survived his one son Eugene H. Mr. Porta was predeceased by his wife, Janet (MacDonald). Visiting hours will be Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
