Obituary of John A Boscia

John A Boscia, Jr., age 93, died Thursday, August 30, 2012 at home in Wayne. Mr. Boscia was born April 17, 1919 in West New York, the son of the late Giovanni and the late Francesca (Zaffiro) Boscia. He served in the US Army during World War II. Mr. Boscia was a self-employed mason and later worked in maintenance for the Department of Parks in West New York. Mr. Boscia is survived by his loving children, John a. Boscia, III and Willa and her husband Michael Alvarez; and his cherished grandchildren, Christopher And Rachel. Mr. Boscia was predeceased by his wife, Helen (Corallo). Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. The funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne and will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo. Interment will be in Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee.
