Obituary of Ewald B. Meinking

Ewald B. ''Ed'' Meinking, age 91, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at Atlantic Hospice Inpatient Unit, Morristown. Mr. Meinking was born August 19, 1916 in Clifton, NJ the son of the late Bernard and the late Freida (Leonhardt) Meinking. He lived in Brighton Beach and was formerly of West Milford. He was the owner/operator of Meinking Construction before retiring. Mr. Meinking was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Brighton Beach. He is survived by his children: Patricia and her husband the late Gerard Gareau, Lou and his wife Margaret and Nancy and her husband Peter Landy, his grandchildren: Jerry and Jason Gareau, Danielle Gliko, Jeff and Courtney Meinking, Dana Puzio and his great-great grandchildren: Hunter, Rebecca and Catherine Gareau and Giana Gliko. He was predeceased by his wife Pearl Rose (nee Deise) in 2004. There was a private cremation. Memorials may be made to American Hospice Foundation, 2120 L Street, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20037
