Obituary of George William Mayer

George William Mayer, age 70, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at NJ Veterans Home, Paramus. Mr. Mayer was born April 7, 1937 in East Chester, Nova Scotia, Canada, the son of the late George William and the late Ruth Lillian (Foote) Mayer. He lived in Wayne and he served in the US Army from November 1962 to November 1966. He retired as a package delivery person from UPS, Parsippany. He is survived by two sons: George K. and his wife Lori, Darrel and his wife Sharone; 3 grandchildren and his sister, Joan Lazell. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Pamela (nee Greco). Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home and will be officiated by Deacon Joseph Crowley. Interment will be in Christ The King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
