Obituary of Beverly Laurie Smith

Beverly (Laurie) Smith, age 82, died Monday, March 10, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Paterson. Ms. Smith was born November 24, 1925 in Paterson, the daughter of the late Harry Simpson and the late Beatrice (Bray) Laurie. She lived in Wayne and was formerly of Ogdensburg. She was employed by Newton Hospital as a L.P.N. Ms. Smith was a Past Chief Daughter of Lady Heather Lodge of the Daughters of Scotic, a member of the Silenta Chapter #56, Order of the Eastern Star and of the Ogdensburg First Aid Squad. She is survived by two daughters: Robin and her husband Jim Bernice and Laurie Thompson; two sons: Glenn Smith and Bruce and his wife Maria Smith and grandchildren, Jaime Bernice, Susan Thompson, Lance Corporal Joseph Thompson, Mark and Allyson. The graveside service will be Thursday at 9:30 am at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, McClean Blvd. & Crooks Ave., Paterson. Dr. David Wiley will officiate. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson.
