Obituary of Clement M. Rakus
Clement M. Rakus, age 82, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2007 at Atrium At Wayne in Wayne. Mr. Rakus was born on July 25, 1925 in Mt. Carmel, PA, the son of John and Stephanie (Lapinska) Rakus. He lived in Paterson. He was employed as an Electrician for Vernitron Medical Products in Carlstadt before retiring. Mr. Rakus was a member of Our Lady Of Pompei R.C. Church, Paterson.
Mr. Rakus was also a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1942 and a proud U.S. Army veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 504, Passaic and of the Veterans Of Foreign Wars Post # 1000, Trenton.
He was the beloved husband of the late Ingeborg, loving father of Daniel, Charles, James, Roger, Susan Conklin, Linda Russo and Carol Rakus. He was the dear brother of Chester and Henry and the late John, Mary, Gail, Matthew and Edna. Mr. Rakus was the devoted grandfather of Nicholas, Thomas, Jessica, Stephanie, Gabrielle, Devin, Matthew and Melissa.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday, December 17, 2007, 8:30 am at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd and at 9:30 am at Our Lady Of Pompei R.C. Church, Caldwell Avenue & Dayton St, Paterson. Interment in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
Visiting on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
