Obituary of Joseph A. Cox

Joseph A. Cox, Jr., age 77, died Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at Hospice of New Jersey, Wayne. Mr. Cox was born August 18, 1929 in Rockaway, NY the son of the late Joseph A. and the late Gladys (Biumi) Cox. He lived in Wayne. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a rifle marksman. He was employed by steam fitters Local # 211, Houston, TX. Mr. Cox was a member of Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church. He is survived by his beloved wife Catherine, two daughters: Patricia Wangerman and Colleen Elk, two sisters: Carol Hricay, Joan Mills, one brother: Patrick, and a grandchild grandson, Robert Elk. He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond. Visiting hours will be Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne and will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo. Interment will be in Christ The King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
