Obituary of Margaretta V. Mulroony

Margaretta V. (Maloney) Mulroony, age 93, died Friday, June 22, 2007 at Wayne View Nursing Center. Mrs. Mulroony was born July 7, 1913 in West Paterson the daughter of the late Charles and the late Amelia (Kinner) Maloney. She lived in Wayne and was formerly of Fair Lawn. She was employed by Prudential Insurance Company, Newark as a secretary. Mrs. Mulroony was a member of Our Lady of the Valley R. C. Church. She volunteered at Chilton Memorial Hospital, received an award for 1,000 hours of volunteer service at Wayne General Hospital. She also did volunteer work at the Pines Lake School and the Wayne Health Department. Margaretta was one of the organizers of the CYO at Our Lady of the Valley church, a past President of the Golden Age Circle of Wayne and special adult club member at the YW-YMHA. She is survived by two daughters: Carole Ann Shapiro of Wayne, Rita Eberhard of Little Falls, one brother: Sylvester Maloney of Clifton, NJ, 1 Grandchild Grandson, Michael J. Murphy of Atlanta, GA; great granddaughter, Kaitlin. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo Mulroony, her sister, Berta Fox and brother, Charles Maloney. Visiting hours will be Monday from 4:00pm - 7:00pm . A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 9:30 am at Our Lady of the Valley R. C. Church, 630 Valley Rd., Wayne will be celebrated by Fr. Jim.
