Obituary of Catherine Retalis

Catherine Kay (Vasios) Retalis, age 88, died Thursday, March 15, 2007 at home in Wayne. Mrs. Retalis was born April 28, 1918 in Paterson, NJ the daughter of the late George and the late Sophie (Coralis) Vasios. She lived in Wayne and was formerly of Paterson. She was employed by Red Lobster, Wayne as a Hostess for many years before retiring. Mrs. Retalis was a member of St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, Paramus, Past President of the Daughters of Penelope, Cadmus Chapter, a founding member of the Wayne General Hospital Auxillary and a volunteer at the Wishing Well. She is survived by one daughter: Christina Retalis of Wayne, one sister: Mary Sexauer of Elmwood Park, two brothers: Harry Vasios of Fair Lawn and John Vasios of Elmwood Park and Many Nieces And Nephews. She was predeceased by her Husband, Harry on 7/12/02. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2-5 PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne. The funeral will be Monday at 10:00 am at St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, 51 Paramus Road, Paramus. Interment will follow in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
