It is with sadness that I learned of Nell's passing. She was a gift to us all and knowing she is in God's care is comforting to me, and I sincerely hope, to the family as well. I only wish I could have known her personally, and through her story, I do. Thank you Nell for all you gave us, and all that you did.

Our most heartfelt sympathy in the lost of your loved one. I know that at a time like this, it seems that the pain will never end. In the scriptures it promises us that God will lead us through the difficult times if we seek him.
Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble.
Because of Nell's dedication to the program of AA, her legacy will live on in it, and she will long be remembered. And thanks to Nell the history of AA will live on long after we are all gone. I only ever met Nell a few times, but she made me feel so welcome, and weather she remembered me or not, she made me feel special.
GOD BLESS YOU NELL!

What a heartache resounds through the world these days, and echos in my heart.
I am a frequent visitor at Stepping Stones and a volunteer, assisting in tours for the past 5 years.
I am proud to know that I am a small part of the tremendous gift that Nellie
helped bring into this world. She will always be a part of this world and always a part of my eternal gratitude.
God will hold Nellie in the palm of his arms, for as long as forever may be.

I never met Ms. Wing personally. The work she did to preserve the history of the greatest Spritual Movement of the last century will forever be remembered. Anyone who reads her book or comes to know the work she did with Bill Wilson. Will understand that she was one of the people put in the right place at the right time. She was more than just Bill's assistant, she documented and held on to things that someone of less vision, and forethought may have tossed away as not important. Nellie will always have a part in Alcoholics Anonymous History itself, the very thing that she protected the archives, so lest we forget, we would never go back to that hopeless state of mind and body, what a beautiful woman! Now and forevermore she has a place in AA history and I can say for myself, I am truly grateful for her to have been there also.
May she rest in peace with her creator.

Thank you Nell. Thank you for all your service to Bill and Lois and for the Fellowship. Thank you for helping to preserve our history. Thank you for all the hours we spent together at the archives, in your living room in NYC, on our rides up to visit with Lois and on the telephone. You were and are a very special part of my journey and a dear friend. Your passing is only on the physical plane for you will forever be in my memories.
"Just as the soft rains fill the streams,
pour into the rivers and join together in the oceans,
so may the power of every moment of your goodness
flow forth to awaken and heal all beings,
Those here now, those gone before, those yet to come." Part of a traditional Buddhist blessing and healing chant....
