Obituary of Edward Van Zile

Edward Van Zile, age 86, died Saturday, December 23, 2006 at home in Wayne. Mr. Van Zile was born March 6, 1920 in Paterson, NJ the son of the late Clarence and the late Tillie (Gaisler) Van Zile. He lived in Wayne. He served in the US Army during World War II and earned the European-Africian- Middle Eastern Service Medal With a Bronze Arrowhead and the Good Conduct Medal. He was employed by Lilly Tulip Co. , Hawthorne, as a Machinist before retiring. Mr. Van Zile was a member of Westside United Methodist Church, Paterson. He is survived by his wife: Ruth [Payne], one daughter: Beth and her husband Tom Marturano of Wayne one son: Edward and his wife Nancy of Haskell, one sister: Evelyn Van Zile of Wayne, 5 Grandchildren, Lisa, Steven, Brian, Joseph & Alissa and a Great Granddaughter, Jaylene . Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11:00 am at Moore's Home For Funerals and will be Celebrated by Rev. Renee Pak. Interment will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. In lieu of Flowers, Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905
