Obituary of Rev. Thomas Martin Kling

Rev. Thomas Martin Kling, age 64, died Monday, August 14, 2006 at Palmetto Baptist Medical Center, Cola, SC. Rev. Kling was born May 1, 1942 in Jersey City, the son of the late Martin and the late Martha (Thompson) Kling. He lived in Gaston, SC and formerly of Passaic, Paterson and Wayne. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam conflict. He was a graduate of North Eastern Bible College in Essex Fells, NJ He was the pastor of the Hillcrest Baptist Church, Gaston SC previously he served as pastor at Elmwood Park Bible Church in NJ and Grace Bible Church in Titusville, Fl. He was a member of the Gaston Crime Watch and the Lexington County Sheriffs Department Chaplaincy Program. He is survived by his wife: Yvette (Verhulst), one daughter: Michelle and her Husband Ted Richard of Titusville, FL, one son: Marc of Melbourne, FL, one sister: Edna Vaongas of Clifton, NJ, 6 Grandchildren, Meghann, Samantha, Shannon, Maygan, Marshall and Maggie and many Nieces and Nephews. The funeral sevice will be Sunday at 3:00 pm at Calvary Gospel Church, 1559 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne. Private Interment will be at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to Hillcrest Bapatist Church, 1344 Mack St. Gaston,SC 29053.
