Obituary of Eugene Russell Umstead

Eugene Russell Umstead, age 76, died Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Valley Hospital, Ridgewood. Mr. Umstead was born January 18, 1937 in Paterson, the son of the late Eugene Reball and the late Helen (De Young) Umstead. He lived in Elmwood Park and was the owner and operator of Umstead Express there. Mr. Umstead is survived by his beloved wife Louise (Stansfield) Umstead; one daughter: Robin and her husband Thomas Reynolds and three sons: Eugene and his wife Cindy Umstead, Thomas and his wife Donna Umstead, and Kevin Umstead; four brothers: William, Herbert, James and Chester; two sisters, Doris Marion and Eleanore Holick; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Cremation will be in Laurel Grove Crematory, Totowa.
