I had known Rick for only a short time prior to his illness as we negotiated a possible contract to represent Baccarat in several of the markets where he traveled. Sadly that opportunity was taken from us. I regret deeply that we did not have the chance to work together. In my final conversations with Rick and through updates from his friends, I was struck by how gracious and brave he was throughout the ordeal. He never allowed circumstances to dampen his ever-positive spirit and bright outlook on life. He was truly a "classy" and genuine person who will be missed by all.

He was the first of only two people I have known who have been willing to go jogging/running at the asking, and I thank him for the company and patience he demonstrated when we went running together as kids. That he forged through a lengthy race after chemo is a testament to his dedication to his body and soul.
We are happy to have had the opportunity to see him this past August during our vacation in California. He was a bit tired and more positive and focused than I could ever hope to be facing such a situation. Sure enough, Ricky (I still can't call him Rick) also was still demonstrating kindness and thoughtfulness, buying us breakfast and noting that we shouldn't worry about it because "the company" was paying...when we all know he was THE COMPANY.
His bright light and warm soul will continue forever.

Rick, The 37 years we spent togeather was far too short, but well enjoyed. As my younger brother I might not have always made the time you so truly deserved. We would sometime get on each others nerves but always came away with love and respect for each other. As we got older our love and family bonding got stronger, just as we were guided by our most wonderful mom and Dad. You and Mark were both there for me as CO-BESTMEN at my wedding, a joy I will always cherish. And when we herd that you were sick I tried to be there with constat thought and prayer. I prayed for us to accept GODs will, and to ease your pain and suffering. The strength you had, was more then an Army of Men. I am saddend that I wont have a chance to hug you again but the great Joy is overwelming that I know you are seated next to Our Father in Heaven. With a short time passing through our life on earth, There is no grater goal then you have allready acheaved with the warmth and kindness of so many lives that you have touched. I AM HONORED TO BE YOUR BROTHER, I will love you always and look forward to reuniting with you once again in the kingdom of or Lord. Save me a seat, Love Joe

Rick,
Thank you for being my brother. I am so proud of the lessons in life that you have shared with me as gifts. You have been a great inspiration even in your passing. I am in complete awe at how lucky I am to have been a part of your life that inspired a multitude of human beings either family and/or friends. You have made a difference in the lives of so many and allowed each and everyone of us that you have inspired and made a difference, to then share your gift with others. You my brother, are the originator of paying it forward!
Your service was beautiful. So many people tonight have been brought together because you at some point gave us all a gift of your passion to live life to the fullest. You have brought us full circle in spirit.
They say the greatness of a human is measured by his funeral. My dear, you are the greatest person that I have ever known. Two funerals on both sides of the country packed with all of us kindred spirits that you blessed with your own special gift is truly amazing. And I do not doubt that if we could have given you a third service, there would be more kindred spirits gathering to celebrate the beauty and richness of your life; your gift to us and how we are all somehow better in our own lives because of you.
I know you are in heaven. You have shared so freely and generously with so many, inspiring so many lives with your friendship and smile and your philosophy of becoming the best human being you could possibly be. You truly are an international advocate for peace and humanity.
I will always love you and thank you so much for being my brother and inspiration.

I don't even know how to begin... my heart goes out to you all.
It's an honor to have had Rick as a friend, and to feel as though you all are extended family.
Take comfort in knowing Rick is now peacefully resting and while here was blessed in many ways... right at the top was having a family who loved and supported him.
If you need anything, (anything!), please let me know.

I knew Rick from School 27 in Paterson. I lived a couple of streets down from him. What an absolute shame to hear such devastating news. My heart goes out to all his family. It is truly a heartbreaking time. May God comfort you always. I know all too well what it is like to lose a family member so, so young. I only pray that he is now at peace and he suffers no longer. I'll never forget our shopping extravaganza that oh so fun day after Thanksgiving. I could barely keep up with Rick and Barb as they knocked over fellow customers and rounders alike. It didn't matter who or what was in the way. Alas, at the end of day a prized possession was bagged: The Infamous Kaminizki Hat. My thoughts and prayers are always with you. Aunt Carole and Uncle Rich,
Rick was a generous soul with an exuberant spirit who never met a stranger. His joy for living was evident in everything thing he did -- from scrambling an egg (and spicing it up with salsa and red pepper), to choosing the right glass, to traveling the world, to reminiscing with friends. We're all richer for having him touch our lives. We share you loss and our prayers with you.
Love,
Pam, Andrew, and Jenny

Carole and Rich,
I can't begin to know your pain. Rick was a wonderful soul. I always looked forward to his impromptu visits to Gerogia, although they were too few. One of my fondest memories from these visits is Rick in the kitchen making an otherwise ordinary meal extraordinary. My thoughts and prayers are with you now and always.

ANGEL'S EYES
In Angel's eyes the light does shine,
Of God's eternal love.
May you find what you seek,
On the wings of a snow white dove.
When life deals a crushing blow,
And turns your dreams to dust.
The Angel's eyes will help you see,
That in God is what you must trust.
Or if you need a helping hand,
Or answers to your "whys"?
Then look no further, for what you seek,
Is shining through Angel's eyes!
You will surly be looking down on all of us, Rick...
A true ANGEL above. And our love for you will only grow stronger with time. God grant you peace.
With Much Love,
Barbara, Bill, Megan, Ryan

Rick,
You are a wonderful brother and I love you so much. My heart aches to know and to have seen how much you have suffered You have always taught me to not just make lemonade out of life's lemons but to make Margaritas out of life's limes. You truly celebrated the passion of living. It was an honour to be able to care for you at your deepest hour of suffering and need. I find comfort in knowing that you are resting peacefully, finally. And please do not give God such a hard time picking out his tableware in heaven. I love you and you are always a part of me. Your one and only sister, Cherisse
