Obituary of John Joseph Richardson

John Joseph Richardson, age 69, died Monday, March 6, 2006 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Mr. Richardson was born August 26, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late John Joseph and the late Katerine (Cunningham) Richardson, He lived in Wayne and was formerly of Stoney Brook, NY. Mr. Richardson was a graduate of CW Post where he earned a BS in Engineering. Later he attended the University of Michigan and the University of North Carolina and earned MA in Engineering and finally he earned a Masters degree in Management Technology from Stevens Institute. He retired from Allied Signal/ Honeywell in Morristown,NJ in 1996 where he was Director of Engineering . He worked as a consultant form 1997-2004 and was Manager of R & D at DHS in Orangeburg, NY until this year. Mr. Richardson was a member of Our Lady Of The Valley R. C. Church, Wayne, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxilary Floatilla 10-13 in Wyckoff, the Society of Mechanical Engineering and the Society of Plastics Engineering. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former: Wilma [Oltmanns], one son: John, III And His Wife Diane of Wayne, NJ, one brother: Michael of Belford, NJ and 2 Grandchildren, Laura And John, IV. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Friday at 9:00 AM at Our Lady Of The Valley R. C. Church, 620 Valley Rd., Wayne where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated . Burial will be in Christ The King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
