Obituary of John A. De Ritter
John A. De Ritter, age 82, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Mr. De Ritter was born on November 4, 1930 in Paterson. He was formerly of Paterson and lived in Wayne more than 50 years. Mr. De Ritter served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He retired from Bell Laboratories in Whippany in 1992 where he was a Graphic Designer for over 30 years. Mr. De Ritter was a Past Master of Haledon/Genesis Masonic Lodge #88 and also a member of Tall Cedars Masonic Lodge. He was an avid bowler for many years and he loved to fish.
Mr. De Ritter is survived by his beloved wife of over 56 years Ann (Agnello) De Ritter; his loving sister-in-law Rose Cervino and dear niece Marilyn Woodhull Cervino. He was predeceased by his son Joseph (2012), his mother Agnes (Alnor) De Ritter, step-father James Martin and his half-brother James Martin, Jr.
Visiting hours will be Friday from 7-9 p.m.
The funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home and will be celebrated by Msgr. Chris Di Lella.
Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
