Obituary of Celia Perkel

Celia (Finkelstone) Perkel, age 84, died Saturday, January 28, 2006 at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock Twsp. Mrs. Perkel was born August 31, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Meyer and the late Margaret (Maiers) Finkelstone, She lived in Wayne and was formerly of Brooklyn And Great Neck,NY. Mrs. Perkel earned a BA in Education from Brooklyn College and later an MA in Counseling from NYU and was a practicing Psychotherapist. She was a professor of education at Brooklyn College and later was the director of Open Door Nursey school and CLASP- a child care group both in Great Neck,NY before retiring. She is survived by her husband of 65 years: George Perkel of Wayne, a daughter: Lynn Siepser of Wayne and a son: Jeffrey of Monroe, NC, and 8 grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 9-10:30 AM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne, NJ. The Burial will be Tuesday at 11:30 AM at Cedar Park Cemetery, Forest Avenue & Soldier Hill Road, Paramus.
