Obituary of Edwin “EDDIE” Matos

Edwin EDDIE Matos, age 43, died Monday, January 9, 2006 at Hackensack Medical Center, Hackensack. Mr. Matos was born August 16, 1962 in Brooklyn, NY the son of George and Blanche (Cardona) Matos of South Carolina. He lived in Hackensack and was formerly of Lakeland, FL and Pompton Lakes. He was a graduate of Lakeland High School in Lakeland, Fl where he was a Varsity Football Player. He was the Owner/Operator of Angelos Pizza And Eddies Cucina in the Wayne Hills Mall Wayne,NJ .Mr. Matos was a lifetime member of the Omega Gamma Delta Fraternity. He is survived by two sons, Anthony Matos and Alfie Ramirez of Wayne, his Parents, George & Blanche(Cardona) Matos of SC and three brothers: George Matos of Bronx, NY, David Matos of FL and Daniel Matos of Butler, NJ,and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 3-5 & 7-8:30 PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne, NJ. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 8:30 PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, with Fr. Michael Lombardo officiating. Private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to To The Family for Anthonys Education Fund.
