Obituary of Elfed H. Jones

Elfed H. Jones, age 101, died Friday, November 11, 2005 at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, PA. Mr. Jones was born October 16, 1904 in Nanticoke, PA the son of the late Moses and the late Elizabeth Jones. He lived in Elizabethtown and was formerly of Wilkes Barre, PA, Bloomsburg, PA and Wayne,NJ. He earned a BS in Education at Bloomsburg University and later an ABD at NYU . He was employed by Central Columbia County Jointure, Espy, PA where he was Supervising Principal for Elementary Education for many years before retiring. Mr. Jones was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church, Bloomsburg,PA and the Landmark Masonic Lodge # 442 for over 55 years in Wilkes Barre, PA He is survived by one daughter: Gayle Jones Reed of Wayne, NJ. 2 grandsons: David Reed and Philip Reed . He was predeceased by his wife, Darthea [Curtis] in 1983 Arrangements are by Moores Home for Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd. Wayne,NJ.
