Obituary of Margaret S. “Peg” Campbell

Margaret Peg (Shepherd) Campbell, age 95, died Saturday, October 22, 2005 at Hospice Of New Jersey, Wayne. Mrs. Campbell was born July 9, 1910 in Haledon, NJ the daughter of the late George and the late Emilie (Herberg) Shepherd, She lived in Wayne and was formerly of Haledon and Paterson. She was a graduate of Paterson State Teachers College. She retired from the Board Of Education in Wayne,NJ in 1948 where she was Teacher in the Junior High school, previously she taught in the Saddle River Township Elementary Schools. Mrs. Campbell was a member of the Passaic County Retired Educators, the Wayne Grange St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Haledon and the Order of the Eastern Star, Little Falls. She is survived by a Nephew, Vance Shepherd of Wayne, Niece, Lynn Shepherd Titmas of Barnegat, 5 Great Nieces; Margaret Shepherd of Wayne, Patricia McDowell of Prospect Park, Phyllis Bogart; Paula Shepherd of Mahwah and Kelly Thomas of Hawthorne, 4 great-great nieces and one great-great-nephew. She was predeceased by her husband, John W. in 1998. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:30 AM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne with Rev. Peter DeFranco officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
