Obituary of Doris F. La Rue

Doris F. La Rue, age 81, of Wayne, died Thursday, February 14, 2013 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Ms. La Rue was born July 17, 1931 in Paterson, the daughter of the late Leonard Harvey and the late Florence (Sledge) La Rue. She graduated high school and attended trade school. Ms. La Rue was originally a clothing designer and fabric department manager in many retail stores, including Sears, Newberry's, Rag Shop, Jamesway and Jubilee Stores. In 1975, she turned to her hobby and love of antiques to open the first of 3 stores. Ms. La Rue also showed at antique shows and flea markets and set up estate and house sales until 3 years ago. Ms. La Rue is survived by her loving daughter Sharon La Rue; her dear cousin Arlene Grudus; her devoted nephews James and Daniel Grudus; and her beloved friend Vicki Musetti. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
