Obituary of Philip Kaufman

Philip Kaufman, age 84, died Sunday, August 21, 2005 at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock Twsp. Mr. Kaufman was born May 3, 1921 in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Abraham and the late Rebecca (Butenetsky) Kovalsky, He lived in Wayne and was formerly of Philadelphia, PA and Del Ray Beach, FL. He was an Army veteran serving during WWII and was a reciepient of the Purple Heart. Mr. Kaufaman was also a First Seargant in the Army Reserves for twenty years before retiring in 1981. He was the owner-operator of Zero Meat Lockers in Media, PA for many years before retiring. Previously he was a supervisor at RCA in Camden, NJ. Mr. Kaufman was a member of Bnai Aaron Synagogue, Philadelphia, PA. He is survived by one son: Leslie Kaufman of Wayne, NJ, one sister: Minnie Reichman of Philadelphia, PA, 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan (Currier) and daughter, Alanna Cohen. Cremation was private. Burial will follow on October 3, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington.
