Obituary of Jeffrey Frank Kent

Jeffrey Frank Kent, age 47, of Toms River, formerly of Ringwood, passed away peacefully after a long illness on February 7, 2013 with his beloved wife at his side at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Jeffrey was born in Collingswood. He received his Associates Degree in Communications from Holyoke Community College, Holyoke, MA although his passion and profession was music. Jeffrey was the beloved husband of 13 years of Janie (Salmanowitz) Kent; loving son of Frank and Patricia (Heron) Kent of Toms River; dear brother of Mark and his wife Susan of Tampa, FL and Tori (Kent) Graffam of West Springfield, MA; and devoted uncle of Tyler Graffam, Shawna and Braydon Kent. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. The Memorial Mass will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes and will be celebrated by Fr. Richard Husted. Interment will follow in Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jeffrey's name may be made to your local animal shelter.
