Obituary of John E. Sutcliffe, Sr.

John E. Sutcliffe, Sr., age 76, died Saturday, July 23, 2005 at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock Twsp. Mr. Sutcliffe, Sr. was born November 27, 1928 in Paterson, NJ the son of Edward John and Elizabeth (Kelly) Sutcliffe, He lived in Wayne and was formerly of Paterson. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He was the Owner/Operator of J & J Auto on Hamburg Tpke. Wayne over 40 years. He was a member of St. Marys RC. Church, Pompton Lakes. He is survived by two daughters: Debra Bariezas and Diane Petersen, one son: John E.,Jr. and 2 Grandsons, Peter & John He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn (Madden) in 1996 and a sister, Elizabeth Ann Sutcliffe Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 AM at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Rev. Kevin Downey. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Memorial donation made be made to the American Diabetes Association.
