Obituary of James Joseph Esso
James Joseph Esso, Sr., age 83, died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at home in Forked River. Mr. Esso was born July 11, 1929 in Paterson, the son of the late Joseph and the late Bahia (Awad) Esso. He lived in Forked River most of his life and was formerly of the Clifton/Paterson area. Mr. Esso served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Carlson Tool in Pinebrook where he was a tool and die maker. Mr. Esso was a member of St. Ann's Melkite Catholic Church.
Mr. Esso was the beloved father of three sons, James Esso, Thomas and his wife Sharon Esso, and Pat and his wife Michelle Esso; loving grandfather of 6 grandchildren; devoted great-grandfather of 1 great granddaughter; and dear brother of George and Eddie. He was predeceased by his sisters, Mary, Alice, Katherine, Josephine and Agnes.
Visiting hours will be Thursday from 6-9 p.m.
The funeral will be Friday at 10:00 am at the funeral home and will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo.
Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
