Obituary of Donald J. Kaelin

Donald J. Kaelin, age 86, died Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at home in Pompton Lakes. Mr. Kaelin was born October 23, 1918 in Cliffside Park, he son of the late Joseph and the late Clara (Trautman) Kaelin. He lived in Pompton Lakes and was formerly of Guttenberg. He retired from Westinghouse Corp.in Bloomfield, in 1982 where he was Accountant for 42 years. Mr. Kaelin was a former member of Grantwood Baptist Church, Riverdale Bible Church and most recently a member of Jacksonville Chapel and its Trumpet Trio. He was a member of the Toastmasters as well as an Avid Stamp, Coin and Scale collector. He was also an accomplished Photographer. He is survived by a daughter Jill and her husband Michael Walter of Pompton Lakes, a son Mark and his wife Marti of Montclair and 6 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret A. (Volkes) on 5/4/2005, and a sister Loretta Branham. Visiting hours will be Friday from 9:30-10:30 AM with a service at 10:30AM. Burial to follow at Pompton Reformed Cemetery.
