Obituary of Helen Olga Malone

Helen Olga (Meyer) Malone, age 86, died Monday, May 23, 2005 at Hospice Of New Jersey, Wayne. Mrs. Malone was born September 24, 1918 in Haledon, NJ the daughter of the late Alfred E. and the late Elfrieda (Hugenbruck) Meyer, She lived in Wayne and was formerly of Prospect Park. She was employed by Theodor Leonhard Wax Co. Haledon,NJ where she was Bookkeeper/Secretary until retiring at age 70. She was a Girl Scout Leader in Haledon for Troop # 1, Treasurer for the Haldeon Senior Citzens and the local chapter of the AARP , the Secretary of the Prospect Park Senior Citzens Mrs. Malone was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church, Wayne and its altar guild. She was a former meber of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Haledon She is survived by one daughter: Kathleen Moore and her husband Stephen of Vernon, NJ, one son: Michael Richard Malone of Kapaa, Hawaii, one sister: Marion Holczer of Piscataway, NJ, one brother: Alfred Meyer of Plattsburg, NY, and 2 Grandsons, Jared S. And Seth R. Her husband Richard J. predeceased her in 1981. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Friday at 10:00 AM at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, Wayne with Rev. John Donnelly officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 1219 Ratzer Rd., Wayne, NJ 07470
