Obituary of George Prizeman

George Prizeman, age 87, died Thursday, May 12, 2005 at Lakeview Subacute Care Center, Wayne. Mr. Prizeman was born November 4, 1917 in Glasgow, Scotland, the son of the late Joseph and the late Sarah (Sheridan) Prizeman. He lived in Wayne and was formerly of Forest Hills, NY. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He was employed by Petes Plumbing, Bellmore, LI, NY where he was Bookeeper and at Mademoiselle Bridal NY, NY for many years before retiring. He was a member of Our Lady of the Valley R. C. Church in Wayne. He is survived by two sons: Kenneth of Wayne and Gerard of Mineola, NY, one brother: Joseph of Riverdale, NY and 4 grand daughters. He was predeceased by his wife, Agnes (Doyle) in 1996. Visiting hours will be Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne, NJ. The funeral mass will be Saturday at 9 AM at Our Lady of Consolation R. C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne with Msgr. Robert Batule officiating. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Queens. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
