Obituary of Salvatore La Vecchia

Salvatore La Vecchia, age 78, died Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at Wayne View Nursing Center. Mr. La Vecchia was born February 27, 1926 in Paterson, the son of the late Joseph and the late Louise (Bello) La Vecchia, He was formerly of Paterson and Smithville before moving to Wayne. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was employed by Curtiss Wright in Wood Ridge, for over 25 years where he was Assembler before retiring.Mr. La Vecchia was a former member of Our Lady of the Valley R. C. Church, Wayne. He is survived by his wife the former: Jennie Agnello, two daughters: Michele Tregaskis of Wayne, and Joyce Maxwell of FL, three sisters: Rose Broich of FL, Louise La Vecchia of FL, Mae Di Maria of NC, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was predeceased by his brothers, Michael , Joseph and Pat and 2 sisters Gloria Cooke and Jeanie La Vecchia. The Visiting hours will be Friday from 2-4 & 7-9PM The funeral mass will be Saturday at 9:30AM at Our Lady of the Valley RC Church, 620 Valley Rd. Wayne. Entombment at Garden of Memories, Paramus. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
