Obituary of John H. Schuler

Deacon John H. Schuler, age 70, passed into life eternal on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at home in Wayne. Deacon Schuler was born September 15, 1942 in Teaneck, NJ the son of the late John C. and the late Anna B. (Steiner) Schuler. Deacon John was ordained on May 16, 2009 by Bishop Arthur J.Serratelli at St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Paterson. He was a permanent deacon at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, Wayne where he was active in church works, including infant Baptisms, assisting in the training of Altar servers and assisting at Mass. He was the parish co-coordinator for Eucharistic Adoration, his great passion. Deacon John attended public schools in Ridgefield and was a graduate of the University of Miami, FL. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam war. John was employed by B & H Security Summit, NJ as a Security Representative and later at D& J Transport, Riverdale before retiring. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carol Ann(Rutigliano) Schuler, a son: Michael and his wife Sarah, a daughter: Susan and her husband Joseph Alfieri, three grandchildren, Slater, Caleb and Giuliana, a sister: Anita and her husband Richard Griffin; a niece, Nina Griffin and a nephew, Ian Griffin. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 11AM at Our Lady Of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke.,Wayne.
