I met Eva through Kamna Singh's Mary Kay Class on July 27, 2003 and loved Eva's bubbly personality through that day! She was a strong, brave Deaf woman who moved to America from her homeland of Hungary, which was a far distance for her to travel, to give up her homeland to come to our country. May God watch over her whole family at this time. May we support all Cancer related causes in our Deaf Community!!! All my love, Martha

I came to know Eva and her sons during my work with the Alliance for Disalbed in Action (ADA) Center for Independent Living from 1996-99. Eva was going thru a very difficult period in her life and I worked many hours with her to try and find the supports and assistance she needed to maintain her health and independence.
Through it all the number one priority was always her two sons, Steven & Thomas. She was always looking to be sure that, whatever she did and whatever happened to her in the future, their welfare was her first concern.
My wife, Julie Droutsas, was the Vocational Rehab Svcs Counselor for the Deaf in Middlesex County during that time and she also spent many hours working with Eva to assist her in finding employment opportunities that would provide the financial support for herself and her sons so they could maintain their independence.
Eva possessed an inner spirit that was unquenchable no matter what obstacles she was confronting. She was often in low spirits and discouraged over seeming lack of progress at times but she never gave up in her quest. Julie and I were very saddened to learn of her passing and we will remember her in our hearts.

To Steven and Tommy,
Your mother was a brave woman who cared deeply about both of you. She tried hard to make sure you would be able to manage without her. I know you will miss her deeply but know that she loved you and wanted you to have good lives.
She was a strong woman who didn't have enough time on this earth. But she showed us how to face death with courage.
I'm sorry I will not be with you to mourn mom's passing but know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Warmly,
Judy Jonas
