Obituary of William J. Acker

William J. Acker, age 84, died Thursday, December 16, 2004 at Silver Bluff Village, Canton,NC. Mr. Acker was born November 7, 1920 in Paterson, NJ the son of the late William and the late Margaret (DeVine) Acker, He lived in Wayne and was formerly of Paterson. Mr. Acker served in the US Army as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. He was employed by International Union Of Operating Engineers Local 14-14B , Flushing NY where he was Engineer for many years before retiring. He is survived by one daughter: Marlaine Nuzzo of NC, one son: William of NC, and many Grandchildren. His wife Coralynn (Fletcher) predeceased him in 1983. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 7-9 PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Moore's Home For Funerals, Wayne with Fr. Michael Lombardo officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
