Obituary of Florence Emma Smith

Florence Emma (Herziger) Smith, age 88, died Thursday, December 16, 2004 at Lopatcong Care Center, Phillipsburg. Mrs. Smith was born July 12, 1916 in Paterson, NJ the daughter of the late Otto and the late Anna (Kranich) Herziger. She lived in Morristown and was formerly of Pequannock. She retired from Barnert Hospital, Paterson,NJ in 1967 where she was LPN for over 30 years. Previously, she worked at Chilton Memorial Hospital and Lincoln Park Nursing Home.. Mrs. Smith was a member of Totowa Memorial Church, Paterson She is survived by one daughter: Edna Rainey of Edgewater Park, NJ, two sons: Albert Smith of Washington, NJ and Rodney Smith of Georgetown, DE, one sister: Edna Herziger of Montville, NJ, and one brother: Robert Herziger of Oceanside, CA , 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, George A. Smith and a sister Mildred Killian. Visiting hours will be Saturday from 9-10AM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 AM at Moore's Home For Funerals,with Rev. Kim officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson.
