Obituary of Mary E. Rippey

Mary E. (Matarrese) Rippey, age 89, died Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at Cedar Crest, Pompton Plains. Mrs. Rippey was born March 10, 1915 in Paterson, NJ the daughter of the late John and the late Angelina (Maggi) Matarrese, She lived in Pompton Plains since 2001 and was formerly of Wayne over 50 years. She was employed as a Secretary/Bookkeeper by Precision Products, Hawthorne and previously at Rowe Engravers, Clifton and John Verdunn, Paterson. Mrs. Rippey was a member of Wayne General Womens Auxillary and the Pine Lakes Seniors. She was a member of St. Mary Help Of Christians R. C. Church, Paterson, then St. Mary's R.C. Church, Pompton Lakes, and most recently Our Lady Of Consolation R.C. Church, Wayne. She is survived by one daughter: Kathy Carlucci of Wayne, NJ, two sons: William Bruterri of West Milford, NJ and Ron Rippey of Wayne, NJ, one brother: Frank Matarrese of FL 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank J. Rippey in 1992. Visiting hours will be Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 AM at Our Lady Of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Fr. Michael Lombardo.
