Obituary of Leanore La Grutta

Leanore (De Giglio) La Grutta, age 93, died Saturday, November 6, 2004 at Tally Ho Manor, Boonton. Mrs. La Grutta was born December 27, 1910 in New York, NY the daughter of the late Antonio and the late Angela (Racciopi) De Giglio, She lived in Boonton Twsp. and was formerly of Newark, Cedar Grove And West Caldwell. She was 1957 graduate of St Vincents School of Practical Nursing in Montclair. She was employed as a private duty nurse and later by St. Catherine of Siena Nursing Home at Caldwell College. Mrs. La Grutta was a Sacristan and founding member member of St. Catherine Of Siena RC Church, Cedar Grove, and a member of its Roasry Altar Society and more recently St. Aloysius RC Church, Caldwell and its Rosary Altar Society. She was alos a long time member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She is survived by two sons: Robert of West Paterson, and Francis of Hagerstown, MD, four sisters: Antoinette DeVito of Long Island, NY, Catherine Orsetti of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Marie DeGiglio of New York, NY and Lucille Mervish of Toronto,Canada and one brother: Anthony of New York, NY, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Pascal in 1998. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 3-5 & 7-9PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11:30 AM at St. Catherine Of Siena RC Church, 339 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Rev. James Pagnotta. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair.
