Obituary of Irving C Van Varick

Irving C Van Varick, age 86, of Pompton Plains died Thursday, September 2, 2004 at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock Twsp. Mr. Van Varick was born January 16, 1918 in Paterson, NJ the son of the late George W. and the late Mabel (Johnson) Van Varick. He lived there before moving to Pompton Plains. He was the president of Van Varick Oil in Wayne for over 60 years before retiring in 1993. Mr. Van Varick was a member of West Side Methodist Church, Paterson He is survived by one daughter: Linda and Her Husband Robert Drexler of Lake Hopatcong, NJ, one son: Roy & His Wife Gail Van Varick of Pompton Plains, NJ, two sisters: Marie Hosie of KY,and Shirley Flynn of WV, one brother, Elmer Van Varick of Pompton Plains, NJ, 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren He was predeceased by his wife, the former Elizabeth Proll, in 1992. Visiting hours will be Monday from 3-5 & 7-9PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at Moore's Home For Funerals, with Rev. Linda Prinz officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
