Obituary of Joseph Salvano

Joseph Salvano, age 79, of Little Egg Harbor died Monday, August 23, 2004 at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Manahawkin. Mr. Salvano was born December 31, 1924 in Newark. He was the son of the late Joseph and the late Angelina (Rutigliano) Salvano. He lived in Newark for many years before moving to Little Egg Harbor. He was employed by Little Egg Harbor, where he worked as a sanitation worker, before retiring. Mr. Salvano was a member of St. Lucys R. C. Church, Newark. He is survived by his wife the former Irene Santos, daughter Lori And Her Husband Ernest Sickler of Union, son Gary And His Wife Donna Salvano of Montville, sisters Rose DiCapua of Iselin, and Helen Richko of Pittsburg, PA, brother Jerry Salvano of Mount Tabor, and 5 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sons Robert and Michael Salvano and a daughter Marie. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne. The funeral mass will be Thursday at 10:00AM at St. Lucys R. C. Church, 118 7th Avenue, Newark. A private cremation will follow.
