Obituary of Alfred J. Petro

Alfred J. Petro, age 77, of Wayne died Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at Preakness Health Care Center, Wayne. Mr. Petro was born July 19, 1927 in Garfield, NJ. He was the son of the late John and the late Helen (Boros) Petro. He lived in Wayne since 1968. He served in the Army from 1945 to 1947. He was employed by Cutter Labs of Wayne for many years before working for the mail department of Anchor Bank of Wayne. Mr. Petro was a member of Annunciation Of The Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church of Wayne, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and an Eucharistic Minister. He was active with the Scout Troop at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Oswald, daughters Mary Ann Petro of Chicago, IL, Jeanmarie Petro of Chicago, IL, son Michael Petro of Lake Villa, IL, and 3 grandchildren. Visiting hours will be Friday from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne. The funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 at the funeral home followed by a mass at Annunciation Of The Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, Wayne at 10:00AM. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
