Obituary of Richard C. Klosek

Richard C. Klosek, PhD, age 71, of Wayne died Sunday, July 18, 2004 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Mr. Klosek was born February 18, 1933 in Olyphant, PA the son of the late John G. and the late Stasia (Yuhas) Klosek. He lived in Brooklyn, NY and then Wayne for the last 44 years. He did his undergraduate work at University of Scranton, PA, he earned his MA and PhD from St. Johns University, NY in Mircobiology. He was employed as a Professor of Microbiology by Fairleigh Dickinson University, first in Rutherford and later in Teaneck,NJ Mr. Klosek was a member of Orthodox Church Of The Holy Resurrection, Wayne, NJ. He was also a member of the Salaam Temple, Livingston, NJ , The Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, the Mt. View Masonic Lodge # 154, Wayne, NJ, The New Jersey Academy of Science, American Society for Mirobiology, Sigma XI The Scientific Research Society of North America, National Historical Society, New York Academy of Science and the American Association for the Advancement of Science He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Emily Architetto, four sons: Richard J. of New Rochelle, NY, Michael J. of Jersey City, NJ, David A. of New Rochelle, NY, John A. of Houston, TX, one sister: Elizabeth Spellman of IN, and a grandson, Jack Mason . Visiting hours will be Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Orthodox Church Of The Holy Resurrection, 285 French Hill Rd., Wayne, NJ with a memorial service at 8PM. The Divine Liturgy will be Friday at 9:00 AM at Orthodox Church Of The Holy Resurrection, 285 French Hill Rd., Wayne with Fr. Paul Kucynda officiating. Burial will be in St. Tikhon's Cemetery, South Canaan, PA. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Orthodox Church Of The Holy Resurrection, 285 French Hill Rd., Wayne, NJ 07470
