Obituary of Gertrude Hall

Gertrude (Bogart) Hall, age 102, died Friday, July 16, 2004 at the Health Center at Twining Village, Holland., PA Mrs. Hall was born May 26, 1902 in Monsey, NY the daughter of the late Warren H. and the late Maud (Hammond) Bogart. She grew up in Passaic and Clifton and graduated from Montclair Normal School ( Montclair State University) in 1922. She was a primary grade school teacher in Clifton and after raising her family resumed teaching in 1948 in Paterson at School # 20 until retiring in 1969. She lived in Paterson and Elmwood Park before moving to Holland, PA twenty years ago. Mrs. Hall was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Paterson, and Past President of St Ruths Guild. She is survived by one daughter: Susan H. her husband Dr. Joseph Bamford of Dorset, VT, and one son: John P. Hall, Jr. and his wife Joan of Princeton, NJ, 3 Grandsons: John C. Bamford,III of VT; John P. Hall, III of NY and James S. Hall of NJ and a Granddaughter, Elizabeth A. Bamford of VT; 2 Great-grandchildren: Jake And Kyra Hall She was predeceased by her husband, J. Philip Hall in 1985 and her daughter, Sally Ann Hall, in 1965. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 10 :30 AM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne with Fr. John Rollins officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson .
