Obituary of John J. McDermott

John J. McDermott, age 73, of Wayne died Friday, April 9, 2004 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Mr. McDermott was born September 5, 1930 in Paterson, NJ the son of the late John and the late Josephine (Reiner) McDermott. He served in the Navy from 1951 to 1954 during the Korean war. He was retired from Police Department in Paterson in 1985 where he was an officer for 26 years. He is survived by his wife: Barbara (Mattade) of Wayne, one daughter: Bella Pacelli of Totowa, NJ, two sons: John and AL both of Paterson,6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren He was predeceased by his parents, John And Josephine (Reiner) McDermott, and a brother, William. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. Private Cremation to follow.
