Obituary of Lillian Jean Wardle

Lillian Jean Wardle, 93, died peacefully on December 27th at Capital Health Hospital in Hopewell. Born in Paterson, NJ, she was the daughter of Charles Boyd and Lillian Cameron Wardle. A long time resident of Paterson, she was a member of Eastside Presbyterian Church, Parsons Contemporary of the Paterson Women's Club, Paterson YWCA and Supervisor at PSE&G Gas T&D Clifton. She was very active in the Passaic County Historical Society and a board member of Westmont Home, Totowa. Jean lived for ten years in Lawrenceville, NJ, was a member of Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church and a Capital Health System volunteer at the Mercer Mart and at the Helene Fuld Campus Clothes Closet. She moved to Brandywine Assisted Living in Pennington where she transferred to the Pennington Presbyterian Church. She is survived by many cousins and dear friends who drew inspiration from her friendship, keen and varied interest including history, music, art, and travel around the world. A Graveside Service will be held at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson, NJ on January 3, 2013, at 10:30am. There will be a memorial service at Brandywine Assisted Living, 143 W. Franklin Ave., Pennington on January 9, 2013 at 2:30 pm. Memorial contribution may be sent to the Trenton Soup Kitchen (TASK).
