Obituary of Herman S. Kievit

Herman S. Kievit, of Wayne died Saturday, January 31, 2004 at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock Twsp. Mr. Kievit was born in Passaic and lived in Wallington before moving to Wayne in 1950. He was a welder with Robbin Conveyors, Passaic for many years. He also was a life guard at Cold Spring Lake in Bloomingdale. He was a Kung Fu Expert and had a Black Belt. He served in the Army during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. Mr. Kievit was a member of Annunciation Of The Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, Wayne. He is survived by a Nephew, Louis Broekamp of Pompton Lakes, 2 Nieces, Marie Patire of KY and Antoinette Geene of Passaic. He was predeceased by his wife, Lillian E. (Smith) Kievit Visiting hours will be Monday from 9:30am -10:30AM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Monday at 11:00AM at Annunciation Of The Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, 45 Urban Club Rd., Wayne where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Msgr. Stanley Schinski.
