Obituary of Adelaide Evangelista

Adelaide (Addie) Evangelista, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 24, 2012. Mrs. Evangelista was born March 24, 1918 in Paterson, NJ the daughter of the late Roy Alexander and Jessie (Lowery) Tintle. She was an avid gardener at her home on Atwood Place in Wayne and enjoyed music and visits from family and friends. Addie is survived by her loving husband of 59 years: Thomas Evangelista of Wayne and four daughters: Janice and her husband Donald Hobart of Westminster, MD,Dawn and her husband Carmen Russo of North Haledon, Marcia and her husband Oney Smith of Frederick, MD and Pamela and her husband Martin Turman of Edmond, OK. She was the devoted grandmother of seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her 1st Husband, Frederick Carl Mooney, Jr. in 1950. Visiting hours will be Friday from 3-4PM at the Funeral home Followed by a service 4PM. Graveside service Saturday at 10 AM will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
