Obituary of Thomas J. Macfie

Thomas J. Macfie, age 78, of Wayne died Sunday, January 4, 2004 at 318 Runnymede Drive, Wayne. Mr. Macfie was born April 17, 1925 in Kearny, NJ the son of the late Thomas B. and the late Mary L. (Varlese) Macfie. He Lived in Haskel before moving to Wayne He served in the Army from 1943 to 1946 during World War II . He was retired from US Bronze, Haskell,NJ in 1990, where he was a supervisor for 35 years. Mr. Macfie was on the Borad of Directors at the Edward Sisco Village Senior Citzens Village, Wayne, a member of BPOE #2181 Wayne, and the Golden Age Circle of Wayne. He was a parishioner of Annunciation Of The Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, 45 Urban Club Rd., Wayne, NJ 07470 He is survived by his wife: Mary M. Zeigler, five daughters: Barbara Macfie of Metuchen, NJ, Carol Macfie of Bloomingdale, NJ, Bonnie Walker of Rutherford, NJ, Suzanne Doot of Haskell, NJ, Karen O'Reilly of Henryville, PA, five sons: Thomas J. of Sussex, Scott E. of Hillsdale, Larry E. of Vernon, NJ, Robert J of Vernon, NJ, Jeffrey of Milford, PA, two sisters: Evelyn Herbert of NC, Janet Elfers of Outer Banks, NC, two brothers: William of Colonia, Donald of Edison, NJ, 26 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Thursday at 9:30AM at Annunciation Of The Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, 45 Urban Club Rd., Wayne where a Mass will be Celebrated by Msgr. Stanley Schinski.
