Obituary of Ernest ““ Duke”” Schamble

Ernest DUKE: Schamble, age 83, of Wayne died Sunday, December 21, 2003 at Atruim At Wayne, Wayne. Mr. Schamble was born February 4, 1920 in Paterson, NJ the son of the late Luigio and the late Angela (DiStaso) Schamble. He lived in Paterson before moving to Wayne. He served in the Army from 1942 to 1945 during World War II . He was employed as an Inspector by Curtiss Wright , Wood Ridge, NJ, Later he worked with his wife at Shams Interior Decorators, Fair Lawn and Emma Schamble Decorators, fair Lawn until retiring in 1998. Mr. Schamble was a former member of Blessed Sacrament RC Church, Paterson, NJ. He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Emma (Nutile), one daughter: Diane and her husband Paul Bevacqua of Hoptcong, two sons: Louis and his wife Linda of Houston, TX, Harry and his wife Adele of Wanaque, NJ, three sisters: Josie Rabuano of Paterson, NJ, Rose Barber of Fair Lawn, NJ, Loretta Bello of Wayne, NJ, one brother: Louis of Lake Hopatcong, NJ, 7 grandchildren, Ryan,Matthew,Brendan,Cory, Nicole,Paula & Philip Visiting hours will be Friday from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Saturday at 9:00 AM at Our Lady Of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Fr. Michael Lombardo. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
