Obituary of Mitchell George

Mitchell George, age 82, of Wayne died Monday, November 17, 2003 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Mr. George was born August 12, 1921 in Lawrence, MA the son of the late Nicholas and the late Mabel (Hatem) George. He lived in Wayne since 1959. He served in the Navy during World War II . He was a supervisor for Inserra Shop-Rite Supermarkets in Mahwah,NJ for 18 years retiring in 1991. Mr. George was a parishioner of Our Lady Of Consolation R.C. Church, Wayne. He is survived by his wife of 60 years : Anna Mae (Pirie), one daughter: Carol Friend of Bloomingdale, NJ, one son: Mitchell D. of Wayne, NJ, one brother: James of Wayne, NJ, and a grandson, Bryan Friend Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne with Fr. Michael Lombardo officiating. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa .
