Obituary of Theodore (Ted) Opdencamp

Theodore (Ted) Opdencamp, age 56, died Monday, November 3, 2003 at home. He was born November 1, 1947 in Jersey City, the son of the late John and the late Anna (Malek) Opdencamp. He was raised in North Bergen, lived North Haledon for 26 years and recently moved to Pompton Lakes. Ted was an electrician employed by IBEW Local # 3, Flushing, NY and also owned & operated Timber Trimmer Tree Service in North Haledon. He served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Mr. Opdencamp was a Lifetime member of Edward Dowell VFW Post 2648, North Bergen, NJ

Ted is survived by his former spouse Kathryn (Josephs) Opdencamp; his loving daughters Jenna and her husband Brian Sasso, and Lea Lynn Opdencamp; his dear sister Diane Opdencamp and brother John.

Visiting hours will be Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's RC Church, 276 Diamond Bridge Avenue, Hawthorne where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Msgr George F. Hundt. Burial will be in Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes.
